FAQ
What should I bring?
Be sure to bring your cat’s current vaccination certificate as they will not be admitted without it. All guests must be vaccinated against Cat Flu and feline Enteritis no less than 14 days before their stay at Cat:a Tonic cattery..
I can’t get to Wandin North. Can you collect my cat?
Yes we will collect your cat, if their stay is one week or more. We will charge you $50-75 for this service, depending on where you live. We must still see the cat’s vaccination certificate. All admissions forms must be completed in full and returned, electronically or via post, to Cat:a Tonic before the cat is chauffeured to the cattery. Crates provided if you do not have one or, use your own. This service won’t be available at all times, so enquire when you contact us if you’d like to use our transport service.
What if my cat is a fussy eater or has special dietary requirements?
We feed our guests only premium cat foods, usually Iams or Hills brands, which make products suitable for many conditions. Fresh meat can be provided upon request. We are unable to refrigerate huge amounts of food, so please discuss your cat’s needs with us when booking your stay.
Why do you weigh my cat?
We weigh all our guests upon admission, to ensure they get the right amount of food for their size and to be able to fully and objectively monitor their condition.
Many catteries charge a discounted rate for our second cat…why don’t you?
We don’t ‘discount’ on the care and attention lavished on two-cat families, so why discount the price? Both of your cats deserve the same exquisite treatment…and we do offer 10% discounts to our long term guests and pensioners (with a current Health Care Card/ Pension card.)
As an alternative, our two Family Rooms offer clients a choice of a much larger space for up to three cats, representing great value.
